The Aldergrove Kodiaks are the 2014 PJHL Champions after a 5-1 victory over the Richmond Sockeyes in game seven to complete an unlikely comeback from a three games to one deficit.

The first period was even in shots at 13 apiece, but Jordan Liem shut the door while the Bears scored twice taking a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

The Sockeyes came out with a vengeance in the second frame outshooting Aldergrove 20-8, but by the 10.26 mark of the period Aldergrove scored three times which was enough to chase league leading goalie Kootenay Alder.

The Sockeyes continued to press in the third outshooting the Bears 12-5, but Jordan Liem owned the day stopping all 12 shots making the final 5-1.

Jordan Liem was named first star stopping 43 of 45 shoots. Spencer McHaffie carried the club offensively with two goals and two assists earning second star, while his brother Scott McHaffie took home third star.

Final shots favoured Richmond 45-26.

Aldergrove was 0-2 on the powerplay while Richmond was 0-4.

The management, coaches, staff and volunteers of the Kodiaks would like to say thank you to their fans for their support. We hope you enjoyed the season and will be back to help us do it all again next year! Have a great summer!
